Photographer’s Note

With bright eyes...I wish these kids a bright future.

On the way to Siem Reap, I saw a picture in an in-flight magazine about kids of Siem Reap. I made a resolve that I will take a similar photo. And destiny allowed me too. With a BRIGHT smile, I talked with them and we created an instant rapport. Yes...that's my tip: Smile at your subjects especially the kids.

i think black and white choice is very suitable.. kids are perfect
i am watching while i am writing that too...
i wish i have this pic. i really like to hang it to my wall...

Many eyes on sides (7), right sides. Very interesting is one eye between fingers (and golden cut).
He have also a candy bar in his hand :-)

Une fois de plus c'est très puissant comme photo. Le b/w est impressionnant et donne une sensation très forte.
Les yeux ressortent incroyablement bien et j'aime bien ces différentes attitudes.

Good capture, Manuel! I remember these kids from previous captures, but there the composition was different...I like this one too, with the "V" sign and the framing of the second kid from the left in that V...The eyes are indeed bright and contrastic with their skin, their wild posture and gaze, and of course, their smiles. The little neat candy package also contrasts with their dirty faces, like a align stuff...
