Photographer’s Note

Boeng Yaek Lom, is a volcanic crater lake, and offers a clean and refreshing swim after a hot, dusty day on motorcycles.
You can walk around the lake on a path and watch the sun shine through the bamboo that surrounds the lake.

The great reflections on the peaceful water, the dark stormy clouds and the wild vegetation around leaved inside of me a touch of magic about this place.

Hi Luca, I was here at the lake in July in the rainy season, dark overcast skies and a lead grey lake. I was told the the lake looked liked a turquoise gem but didnt believe it, and now I do.
Well composed to omit the sky and only have the reflections. Colours are superb, yes I often wonder if we should go back to film.
