Photographer’s Note
Banteay Samre, the temple 20 Km from Angkor, takes its name from the Samre people, who were indigenous people of uncertain origin There is a legend connecting the naming of this monument with a farmer who mistakenly killed the king then ascended the throne.
The temple has been largely restored. I took the snap from between a couple of columns along the pathway.

Angshu, welcome to TE. Hope to see more of your work in the near future. Good idea using the columns to frame the temple in the background. Thanks for sharing.

this is an interesting perspective of banteay. the columns make for a frame that has nice lines. but as a shot, i don't think the columns add to the appeal of the photo. the temple in the background and that beautiful blue sky are amazing all on their own ... sometimes i think simplicity is best.
good shot though!

Bonjour Angshuman
Lovely sight through the natural framing of columns.
It is unusual to see trees growing on roof tops!!
Interesting photographic document on heavenly skies.

Well composed image Angshuman, compliments, the frame created from the columns done more interest to the tower, the image is a bit desaturated, however compliments.

Hi Angshu,
I like the way you've used the pillars to frame the temple details. The blue, cloud-enhanced sky provides lovely contrast to mossy temple.

Hi Angshu,
What a magnificent framing in here. The window created by these lateral columns is just great. Very expressive, with a lovely game of light and shadow and a beautiful blue sky. A creative shot very well suceeded. I love it. Congratulations!
Friendly regards,
