Photographer’s Note
There were many places around ANgkor Wat that were worth visiting. Tha Promh was one temple worth visiting. There are so many ancient ruins. The ruins are so old that trees grow through the ruins.
This scene completely captivated me. I was amazed and spent hours walking through these ruins. The trees grew through the old temples. It was so hard to imagine how the ruins were holding these massive trees up, until I realised that the trees supported the ruins too.
There were so many dilapidated areas that weren't safe to walk through.

David, the composition in this image is awesome. If this image was mine, I'd have a blast in PS:
- The sky is blown. Used the gradient tool on a mask layer to darken it withouot underexposing the bottom part.
- Using the crop tool or perspective tool, correct the lens distortion on the columns.
- Can't see any silhouette (hate this word, can't never write correctly)
Great frame, it targets your attention to what it is important.
Thanks for sharing!

Hi David,
I agree with your note. This is one the most wonderful sight to see in Angkor Wat complex. I've taken many shots and in some of them I was standing exactly where you took this shot :)
Good choice of B&W to give us the old feeling the place has. Nice post my friend!
Regards,
Skye

Great shot. Glad to read you visited them. I have seen another tree, like that big one in the middle, that was groing on a big rock. It is quite amazing to see how nature adapts to certain things.
Thanks for sharing

the black and white enhances the age of the ruins here.. it's a pity the sky seems washed out, but prolly not a lot you can do about it
