Photographer’s Note
Tha Promh Temple, Angkor, september 2002.
In this strange 800 years old temple where the jungle has recovered the once forgotten stones of the Angkor city, this forever smiling dancer was facing the power of nature over man's work.

Bon WE

I'mn thinking of going there myself one day in the not-too-distant future, and this is exactly the kind of photo that makes me even more eager. What a special place it must be!
I like the composition, which shows several surfaces and different aspects of the temple: the statue in the right half; the enormous roots slowly creeping across the old stone structure; and the green moss covering the place. However, the sky is over-exposed, and there is some loss of detail in the leaves of the tree.

Really like the detail and the vivid colours. Could almost be there. Good use of frame and composition also.

Salut Olivier,
Quelle étrangeté que cette photo !
J'aime beaucoup l'aspect humide qui ressort de l'image...et cet arbre étonnant. Fascinant comme la nature reprend ses droits !
Félicitations !

Hi Olivier!
Exactly one year ago I stayed 4 days in Siam Reap and this temple was one of my favorite places in the Angkor temple region.I was amazed what ancient culters created and what nature still creates.
You catched both verry well.Good colors and sharpnes.Well done I add it to my favorites.

hi Olivier,
excellent shot! bravo.
i think that you can turn this almost monochromatic photo in black and white or sepia... it would be perfect!

Great photo. I wish you could do something about the overexposed sky...but that would have affected the temple relief which is wonderfully exposed
Cheers
