Hi Maciej. wow, what a mess... it must be a challenge to deal with so many flies... they are so thick I thought it was debrey in the air, that is incredible... a good document of the hard work and crap (literally) people go through to survive... nice work.

Uffffffff strong photo Maciej, very strong photo... this show how hard and low human beeing must go to survive, i know for you that even so, the earnings are better than in other places... but looking at this is shocking. If the garbage itself was not enough to make us rage with this, this shot with the flies is the drop of water...

Hi Maciej.

Hi Maciej,
it's always shocking to see those shots of the poor people in cambodia. But it's good to show them, everybody should know that the world has to help this country, one of the 10 poorest in the world. They have such a dark history, unbeleaveable, the people there are so friendly and everybody is smiling.
Thank you very much, bye

Hi Maciej
What an impressive shot, disgusting but beautiful one! That's harsh reality. When I think I sometimes complain about my workplace!! Those millions of flies give a graphic impression, little spots everywhere. I like it!
Thx for sharing, Quentin.

Les conditions sont vraiment difficile et pourtant cela leur permet de survivre..
Une photo reportage de très haut niveau.

Shocking and disgusting scene but a a very good picture. You can see here what other people go through to survive.
I will be gone from home, from TE and TL on December 7 to Dec 21, 2005. I would like to wish you and your family a "Merry christmas and a Happy New Year!"

Hello Maciaj,
This is so graphic, the number of flies and the fact you were able to capture them all... certainly not pretty but an excellent piece of hotojournalism,
well done

Another impressive photo from this place. Some of those flies are * big. I don't much like the title, though - to me it has a disdainful note - I'd prefer a neutral 'Stung Meanchey' or some such.

I was wandering about the flies Maciek..I had not seen them in your previous photos from this place. I have to say that this is probably the strongest series anyone on TE has done. Each photo is so expressive and revealing. Some are intimate while others are not (like this) but they are all revealing and honest. The garbage in this photo appears beautiful for some reason. Maybe its all those colors, and the quality of the lighting (Canon gets at those colors SO WELL) but it doesnt look like GARBAGE, you know?

Hi Maciej, I could not believe these were flies... but then what, I wondered... This is an incredible, gripping, terribly strong shot. What destitution it requires to do this while we are amassing and throwing out so much.
An absolutely unique, incredible shot... thanks. Absolutely superb and sorrowful.

Allo Maciej,
This is so amazing! Incredible shot. How can I say that this is a beautiful picture? Impossible. Knowing what it is. Working in the domain of occupational health & safety, I cannot be blind to those impossible risky situations that some people live. That's sad. Your picture is a perfect one, a picture that deserve a large audience. So that we cannot forget that life is also that. (Sorry for my broken english, some subject deserve more subtility that my limited knowledge in English...) Thank you so much for that testimony.
