Photographer’s Note
Here you can see two faces of the magnificent
BAYON-Temple.
It has 54 towers with faces of Avalokiteshvara carved on four sides.
It is built as a pyramid, gradually rising to the central sanctuary, 54 meters high.
Jayavarman VII was the first of the Angkor kings to be a follower of Buddhism, and he built the Bayon Temple in the center of the city Angkors as a symbol of Mount Sumeru, the center of the world in Buddhist cosmology. Bayon is a Mahayana Buddhist Temple dedicated to spreading compassion through the "three thousand worlds" of the universe.

Hallo Sabine,
wirklich Klasse. Die Struktur der Gesichter kommt sehr gut zu Geltung. Die Rahmenfarbe finde ich auch sehr passend. Ich würde das Bild ein wenig nach links drehen.
Viele Grüße

Back to the Bayon, Sabine. You do get about a lot! I like this picture of this most famous shot. You have recorded it well. I think they say that it is a composite face of Avalokiteshvara and the Buddha, rather as Alexander the great did. Anyway it is a face that will never be forgottom. Great piocture , Sibine.
