Photographer’s Note
For anyone who happened to see my previous posting of
A Monks Journey,this is the monk pictured far left in the photo.
I humbly approached asking for permission to take his photo, to which he said yes. A very serious look indeed.

those bright colors are so amazing! i particularly like the way you composed the shot putting him on the left side of the frame and cropping at his hands level.. nice shot.. slightly oversaturated maybe? I love those monks! i am sure i must have been a monk in a previous life... they do trigger such deep emotions in me...

A beautiful portrait to compliment your previous post. The vibrant colour of the robes is shown off well against the foliage in the background. Great use of DOF. The pose of the monk is good as he points diagonally into the centre of the shot. I guess the seriousness of his expression illustrates his approach to his role in life. Well done.
