Photographer’s Note

Fisherman on the shores of Tonle Sap lake tending to their boats. Tonle Sap (which means Great Lake) is a massive lake with a number of floating villages near its shores. During the monsoon season, the direction of the Tonle Sap River reverses and floods the lake, causing it to swell to over twice its normal size. We went on a little boat ride around sunset, and we were told that during the rainy season, the water level comes up and over trees on the banks.

Busy shots, with a lot of interest going on. Good PoV and light for this. How did you find a little boat trip? That's jsut what I wanted but failed to find. All I could find was a 3 hour organised tour.

very nice daily life scene, i really like those warm colors, nice composition too with those boats in the foreground. Cambodia is such a nice country... nice shot

Strange mix of desolation and colours: The dust-the boxex, the boats-the shops... Interesting places and not an exotic vision of the country, something that I appreciate quite a lot. Gracias, Mimi, es una buena foto.

This is an interesting daily life scene, Mimi - good TE stuff. The colours are very good - I like the red and blue scattered randomly through the shot and contrasting with the muted warm browns. Your pov is very effective with the angle making the huts stand out against the sky. Nice lines of the boats too. I like it a lot.

Very interesting, lots to see, everyone so busy... Once again the colors are great. I would never tire of this colored soil!! Great POV!
