Photographer’s Note
Treking through the forest off the beaten path of the temples takes me to to one of not well known gates along the outer wall. Like most of the gates around the temples, it's adorned with the faces of Angkor...
I hope you like it!

Dan
superbes couleurs, j'aime beaucoup.
les détails sont très riches notamment dans la végétation qui "mange" le visage.
sans doute aurais-je opté pour un cadre plus sobre pour cette image si riche.

The broken face of this god looks like a cubist Picasso and the lichens animate the face like a painting of Archimbaldo. Very original and wonderful colours !

Hi Dan :)
This kind of relics, covered by the jungle, recall me some scenes from the Walt Disney's cartoon "The Jungle Book" every time (the temple where the King Louis lives). Here the textures are wonderfully rendered. And the mildews, combined with the stone bricks and crazings, gives beautiful patterns and colors. Really what a pity that this temple is plundered and is dismantled by the thieves nowadays!

This statue is too popular, but your capture and title make it fresh to be discovered.
Congratulations!

Hey Dan, this is a beuaty again. I like the way the jungle is taking over here, but still the smile will last. The lichen and the tree is very nice to look at, but in the end itt will destroy the stone, of course.
On another level, I like your pictures very much, but I HATE your frames. Well, it's a matter of personal taste of course, but I think these 3D frames are ugly. Can't help it , and if you like them, just keep it that way, it will not stop me from commenting on your pics ;-)
Take care, Rinie
