Around Angkor Wat and other ruins, there are so many souvenir sellers, so many. But among them, she was very shay and of course not arrogant. Even though other girls took up with tourists, She never did so. When I saw her for long time, she noticed with me and approached me timidly and said slightly "please Mr, buy from me". I could not refuse her offer and I bought this meaningless thing by 1 US$. This thing is still hung up next to my desk in my house.

I think you were right buying her one of that stuff.
I have just come back from Angkor as well....and I have to say...those kids are realy cute and it's so hard to resist them....because - in the end - a couple of dollars less in our pocket are not that big problem for us...and we just give them a short smile!

Je comprends qu’il était impossible de refuser de lui acheter un petit souvenir avec un tel sourire !
Magnifique image !

very cute girl, very good photo! Maybe I would have bought more souvenirs from her if I had been there with you.
I like your note to the photo, too :)
I can imagine how all that was happening... your walking, meeting the girl, your talking to her... and all that... which ended up with this very lovely shot :)
Concerning the technical aspects of the photo, I see something dark behind the girl's head. What was that?.. it looks a little disturbing.

I found this photo in your randomn gallery and I like it a lot and remember simmillar scenes.
I like a lot her pose and shy but very friendly facial expression.
Greetings from still cold Germany,
