Cutting sugar canes
At one side of the route, going to visit Ta Prohm temple, there was a small village with few houses near a sugar plantation
The activity was to sell some crafts (baskets) and sugar in attractive wrapped ways at the passing tourists
The boy is cutting the canes forming rings that other person will fill with sugar
An interesting process I have also seen in Paraguay (making sugar), they were kind to offer me some sugar wrapped in sugarcane leaves and insisted me to eat at that moment, a quite moving present, never tasted something so sweet

This is a nice photo with very pleasant light and mild colours. I never saw these sweet snacks before but they look good (I mean from a photographic point of view) on the brown table beside th brown basket. I like the way the boy is seated. Although he is just sitting there I sense a certain kind of movement from the positions of his arms and legs.

I like very much the perspective of this composition and the elegant way in which it's enhanced by the boy's right arm. The perspective and his gesture are significant and guide the viewer smoothly in the observation of the process and the elements being used. The varying lighting conditions were quite challenging for your lens but you've illuminated the scene in a very balanced and pleasing way. You've also achieved great depth and clarity, the colours are natural, harmonious and lovely. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

Ciao e buona serata

A very nice capture of this traditional craft and the young man hard at work to impress tourists! You chose a great composition on the whole scene, and your note makes the whole thing complete. So is it pure sugar wrapped in the leaf? I imagine that is so sweet.

Your narrative is useful, great rural shot & atmosphere really gives the viewer a sense of being there with the brightly lit teenager does give a better balance to the shot holding the attention there. Nice bit of his effort and contribution to his family's economy well showing every bit around and much more to see in them with good sense of location. This social doc shot looks neat without clutter, an effective photojournalism in conveying a pertinent observation. Very well done, Congrats.

Buen trabajo. Me gusta mucho.

The lush tropical vegetation lets us know we are in south east Asia rather than the colder and drier north. A superb daily life scene with good saturation sharpness and colour. Excellent shadow detail despite the strong sunlight top left. I found the people of Siem Reap lovely. Not grasping or rapacious despite their poverty. The diagonal bench adds good dynamism, & tfs!

A great frame from everyday life in Cambodia. I like the play between the shade and the sunny spots. I think the distant boy framed by the two tree trunks has made this photo. I like the overall candid effect. Now did you have to tell the closer subject to carry on as though you were not there or did he know instinctively that he was supposed to ignore you so you could take this beautiful photo undisturbed?

Excelente trabajo!

I think I might have stop in some of the similar village where people making palm sugar and weaving basket and things. This is a lovely shot of the boy, helping in making a living for the parents, I was doing many similar chores when I was little boy, taking care of my younger brothers or help tending to the shop. The large version is really fantastic.
Thanks. Sorry, I've not around much.

Nice detail photo, taken from excellent high angle viewpoint. The well-chosen tight crop eliminates all unwanted distractions (except the bright spot over the boy's head).
