That's a village along Tonle Sap at dry season.
Don't ask me what she's grilling, I don't have any clue... but light a fire and let the smoke come up and you'll see me running with my camera.

Excellent job! The only slight quibble is with the bright light on the water outside, but I know there's not a lot you could have done about that...

the composition is terrific! the tight crop in the bottom leveled perfectly, the diagonal
sheet above her head and the framed "window" for the boat,kid,water..(an opening for a different picture).I find the smoke on her face disturbing I wish she or the smoke wouldn't disturb each other. I give this one 1 and 3 quarters of a smile...

all the stuff going on here is great. the composition is great. the grilling makes me hungry for my breakfast... but maybe it's cause of the smoke, but nothing seems sharp and you know how i am a stickler for focus.

If not for the smoke, Luko, which is right in her face, this would have been magical. The details here are superb and I can just sit for a few minutes taking in her surroundings. As Daniel said, the window leads into a new picture all by itself...just the smoke!

As has been mentioned by others, this is a really great photo, but the softness caused by the smoke is a little dissappointing. Everything else looks top notch.

Yes, the smokes and I think it is so because it is in B&W which makes her faces look strange. I think it would have been less intrusive if the photo was in color.

Luko, its a wonderful shot - glad I didnt miss it.
B/w works well here -and the smoke in the idrection of her face - so real.
I might have been tempted to play with contrast a bit, but maybe its good you weren't

Nice picture, but I could give you points on all your pictures. I just need time to watch them all.

very good scene, shows this woman's daily life in the smoke. I like your careful composition here and all those things far in the background, nice picture

I quite like the smoke, the tones of the film and the qualities of the Leica make this feel timless. This area of Cambodia I found to be quite an experience, there was a life there I could never have imagined, it was beguiling.
