This photo was taken at noon during a recent trip to Cambodia. The weather then was cloudy.
Our guide took us on a tour of a floating village in Ton Le Sap Lake. It amazed me that the village is self-sustaining. They have built structures to meet the necessities of daily life including a floating school, a floating market, and a floating news agency.
For me, the floating Church is a sign of the people's fervent faith in God. Although the people live outside the town, they have built this structure where they can congregate and worship God as a community. As one looks closer at the picture, one will notice that there are two men sitting at the entrance of the Church with one of them waving to us.
