Photographer’s Note
This is a continuation of my previous post. As I've told you before, there are lots of children around Angkor temples, and they try to sell all kinds of stuff. Usually they sell mineral water and cold drinks, with different kinds of souvenirs and t-shirts comming in close runner-up position. This girl surprised us though.
We were at Ta Prohm when sudden downpour occured. It was raining very heavily. Many tourists hastly left the temple, but some people, including us, remained hidden inside temple's corridors. After about 10 minutes of rain this girl suddenly approached us, appearing out of nowhere and carrying a bunch of plastic raincoats! She had around 20 of them and believe me, she sold them all in less than 5 minutes! Clever, ingenious, simply amazing. We were all under big impression. Asian people know how to do business, and they know it well right from the cradle.
Oh, and finally the price. Well, it could not have been any different. This is Angkor, so the price was one dollar!

Another good portrait, but not as good as the previous picture, although it's difficult to say why. Part of it is the model itself, however nice, she looks perhaps a tad less extraordinary, but this sounds harsher than I mean.
And a dollar for this Vietnamese raincoat? I hope the Vietnamese guy who sold them won't find out, because he will seriously reconsider his retail prices for Cambodians...or probably he has done that already:-)

hello Michal
this is a nice portrait, always with a lovely girl and a splendid background!Yes,the plastic bags with the raincoats inside are less attractive than thebeautiful colored things of your last portrait, but I think it's really nice!
