Photographer’s Note

Ta Prohm temple is the place where nature and ancient Khmer architecture live in a perfect symbiosis. The trees and their roots have not been removed, partly because they create this special, Indiana Jones/Tomb Raider atmosphere of the place, and partly beacause they could not be removed without damaging the buildings.

This particular door, virtually swallowed by huge tree roots, is one of the landmarks of Angkor. To see how big the tree actually is, have a look here.

The colours are very beautiful and the sharpness of the temple decorations and the roots of the tree is excellent.
I've always been astonished by this symbiosis between those temples and the nature.

I have seen much picture from this place,and each time,it's a great pleasure!Here ,I like the close framing on the beautiful door!The colours of the roots are splendid,and I like very much their texture,like it they had been waxed!Superb!

Another really good one from Ta Prohm, very nice close up shot with great details, Colors are very saturated from the rain, perhaps a little too much. Great clarity and sharpness. I can feel the humidity in the air. Well done.

Ta Prohm is my favourite place in the seam reap region.
Good shot of this door framed by the tree`s roots.It`s a very good exposure with fine details to view.
