Ta Prohm - The hand of nature! Photo

Photographer’s Note

Visualise this tree as the big hand (of nature) as it presses a portion of the temple down by a couple of feet.

The ‘elbow’ in the centre right (top) of the frame holds the ‘arm’ vertically down along the stones. An elongated ‘palm’ alongwith a couple of ‘fingers’ grabs the stone structure with doorway and pins it down around two feet from where it originally was.

“Stone and wood clasp each other in grim hostility; yet all is silent and still, without any visible movement to indicate their struggle ”

This was just the vision I had when I saw this tree, so I thought I share my vision with you....

I like the tight framing graphism vivid color & contrast. Good sharpness & an interesting nature vs man shot. It would look good in sepia too.

Hi Angshu, another nice shot of these impressive ruins, in spite of difficult light. Compared to the previous one, I believe this one is better quality-wise, and the other one was better in terms of composition. Regards, Daniel

Cambodia has always been a place which attracted me.. You captured very well these ruins covered by the vegetation. Nice perspective and colours.

You're right Angshu, it's really impressive, and why not to say it, scaring, what mother nature can do upon humans' works. We have to asume once of all, that we never won't be able to dominate it, (and that's a luck). Good seen.
