Many photos have been taken of the massive trees growing over the ruined temple of Ta Prohm. Here is my take on one of them, carefully positioned to avoid the platform for people to have their photo taken in front of the monumental tree.
The trees roots come right down to the front of the photo. It was a bright day so taking a photo of more of the tree resulted in blowing out of the trunk.

This looks like a poster for a Sci Fi film with the roots about to jump out at you!I wonder how long it has taken to reach this size.Like the format, and would like to see more of the ruined temple with or without roots.
Kind Regards Gladys.

spero un giorno di visitare anche io questi luoghi che ho cominciato ad apprezzare paradossalmente con i video games di Tomb Raider, ambientati in Cambogia.
Incredibile come le radici dell'albero hanno sovrastato la costruzione.
Thank you for sharing for this beautiful photo.

Ces racines donnent le frisson. Elles semblent s'emparer de tout. L'angle de prise de vue est parfait pour nous faire admirer toutes leurs ramifications.

In hope you've not been flooded out down there!
What an unusual subject, it's exquisite. The overcast conditions haven't done you any favours but I think you managed it well. Thanks for sharing, have a lovely evening.

Hello Ian, This foto reminds of a friend who often said that if we didn't keep maintenance up on buildings roads etc. mother nature would eventually reclaim it, if I had doubts here is proof. Nice shot & perfectly exposed, we probably don't need to see the remainder of the tree this scene I think tells the full story quite well.

amazing combination of the nature and civilization.
Interesting decoartive elements but even more decorative is the root of the tree.
I am just sitting in a cafe opposite to an Australian Bar Walkabout. I think I have heard about it. I'm wondering if they are serving kangaroo meat? I may try it next time.
