Photographer’s Note
Ta Prohm. Of all the most famous temples of Angkor, this one stands out as the 'jungle' one. It has a very special atmosphere, as you can really feel (at least a bit) how it was to discover Angkor, when it was utterly forgotten deep in the jungle back in the 19th century. Today hordes of tourists spoil this impression, but if you are lucky (and arriving in the wet season helps a lot), you can have the place almost completely to yourself. And hiding in the corridors of the temple to survive a sudden downpour is a great experience!
There sre some famous trees, like this one, with this one in close runner-up spot. But apart of them there are so many others, huge trees growing right on the ruins. Not surprisingly Ta Prohm is on everybody's must-see list in Angkor!

Bonjour Michal,
Un arbre qui prend racine. Magnifique, l'atmosphère est vraiment
spécial. J'aime bien la mousse verte qui recouvre les pierres.
Bon dimanche

Michal this is an excellent recording of the passing of time, and the constant reminder of the power of nature to survive over the creative works of man. When I opened up the gallery and saw your thumbnail this photo had a special lighting that attracted my attention. Perhaps a glow from the rain and moss, but the highlights on the trunk are excellent. Thanks for going through the effort to capture this.
