Photographer’s Note
In the middle of Angkor vat, this khmer kid seemed very vulnerable to me to carry the heavy weight of his country's history and future. Thjis is the message I tried to convey through this large framing : a kid in the middle of a superior history. hope it works for you even without reading this note... I Will see;-) or maybe I am totally wrong?

I like your composition well enough here Eric and I think it does convey the message you were aiming for. My issue with this shot is that it appears you have used Neat Image or the like and for my tastes, the texture seems to have been too drastically altered. A good shot, but I would prefer the original I think.

Nice shot Eric, this time I read your note 1st and needn't have as the image conveys a sense of the boy being located in and inheritor of a larger ancient cultureal history but his clothes hint at a different future.
That's my reading.

A critic to begin with... I find disappointing the lack of details in the background. But that's no big deal compared to the pros.
Really smooth colors and textures as if you ran it through Neatimage. I like very much the character with red colors in that almost blue environnement.
Speaking strictly from a color point of view, I found this small red elements in that big blue background is really well balanced.
The way the boy stands and the angle shot really enhances the perspective. That's really a great shot !

This I find a very strong documentary picture. Composition is carefully chosen and well balanced, very powerful. What strikes me the most here Eric is your colour toning. Simply stunning how the red of this boy's shirt contrasts with the mat stone cold toned background. It really pulls the attention away from the architecture that fills almost the complete frame, towards this child.
Impressive work!

The backdrop is really good here, I also like the kid in the foreground too, he is waiting for something but I dont knwo what.
You can see the difference in the modern child and the ancient building here.
Well done

you did great to contrast the new generation with the history of this place. it justifies your words.

another very good one. I read the note afterwards, your photo conveys very much what you mention. the way he pulls down his Tshirt increases this feeling. I like these compositions where the main point of interest is somewhat lost in a corner of the picture.

I was lost in the inmensity of the gallery and I´ve found this photo of you submitted more than a year ago. Today I feel I little bit like this kid seem to look. Very interesting note as well as compositon. I look forward to visit Cambodia, I look forward to ran away to Dominican republic in ten days. Cuídate hombre de los ojos prodigiosos, será un placer invitarte a chocolate con churros algún día tras dar un enorme paseo.
