This is one of the few temples of the Angkor Wat complex that was built of brick instead of stone. Originally the five temples would have each had a tall spire for the roof. You can get some idea of this from the center temple. These may have been consructed with a wood framework which over the centuries had been consumed by termites and a tropical environment. This site has undergone extensive clean-up and restoration work in recent years.

I like this view. I don't remember this temple.. maybe I didn't go there on my trip to Angkor.

Beautiful temple. The ancient architecture is very attractive. Details are very well seen and the use of light is excellent. I like the angle you used to capture the building from a corner. Great shot David
