Back to cambodia travelogue
This from the floating village, Chong Knheas, on the edge of Tonle Sap lake.
Their houses are not permanent, depending on the weather, or other situations, they move their houses : just tie on the boat, and move. which can be seen often (I saw at least twice - I put in the workshops) .

A beautiful and interesting scene from the floating village, Cessy. The telezoom lens brought you a rather good DOF, and it's nice to see the four kids and the variety of their expressions and poses. The youngest one seems to have spotted the photographer :o) Interesting WS, too.

Very nice picture in dual colours. Compelling view of a different culture in an everyday life situation. What these faces are looking at is probably of interest. Very good perspective. Nice job.

une très belle photo avec d'excellentes expressions sur les visages de ces enfants. Le n&b est bien vu et est très bein réalisé. Bravo

Nice daily life scene where they dont seem to notice you, well composed and framed, good DOF and sharpness, blac and white working well!

Very nice pic of the floating village. The juxtaposition of the people are good and I like how that little boy hides behind his bro and look into your lens. Nice BW that dramatize the atmosphere. As for moving houses, I saw a brand new moving school when I was there!

you catched these kids in a very naturel way, no pose at all ... and they look so nice, each of them for his or her own with different expressions.
A great composition.
I also like your ws. Very interesting.

Great picture Cessy! The atmosphere that you have captured here is marvellous. The composition is great and so is the focus and the relatively "narrow" depth of field. Great choice of b&w. Congratulations!

You really captured the moment very well. I always like seeing the innocent look of children. They seemed enjoying their life.

Hi Cessy. I think going with b/w was a logical way to go. You might be able to increase the contrast just a bit. The tight DOF helps keep our eyes on the boat and people. Very nice one Cessy!

Jolie image !

Nice detail of these floating villages and although this one is taken in Cambodia it gives an unterstanding how the "boat people" managed to adventure leaving Vietnam to risk their lives to find something better somewhere.
It seems that something interesting is going on in the far left, that you didn't capture. The exception is the youngest in the group that looks straight in to your lens.
