Carved by the Hand of a Woman
Banteay Srei is a small temple about 40 minutes by car from Angkor Wat. It boasts the finest carvings in the Angkor vicinity.
This picture unfortunately shows only a small portion of the temple. But the most impressive thing about Banteay Srei is that I could have taken this shot pointing anywhere on the building in front of me and the quality and precision in the carvings would have been as spectatular.
This small temple is literally dressed up from head to toe in some of the finest Khmer artwork from that century.
Hope you liked it!

I like the texture & lighting, in this superb bas relief. I've been to Angkor Wat, & I know it's not easy to capture this type of image. The tight framing works well here. Congratulations!

Hey, hey...look who's back. Nice to see you posting again Mathieu.
Another nice shot of the temple carvings. Love the three layers of color through the carving. Good detail and sharpness also. A good, tight crop but a little off-kilter, maybe a bit of rotation to the right would straighten it. Just nitpicking though. A good looking shot.

A good crop, a good close-up idea, a perfect sharpness... Everything's ok to enjoy this impressive work.
