I took this picture of these girls selling flutes while touring the temples near Angkor Wat. I bought a flute from the girl in the middle and then the rest of them were mad at me for not buying from them. I like the different expressions on their faces.

I like this medley of different expressions
(the shy one on the right...the smiling one in the middle....the surprised one in the front)
the choice of black and white is also suitable to have our eyes concentrating to their moods

Hello Philip. A very beautiful everyday life photo. The group of children is beautiful to regard. You realized this motive photographically in the best way. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Love the composition of this shot. That plus the soft lighting made for a great photo. You managed to capture each kid with a different expression. You caught a lot in this shot.

one dolla'!! one dolla'!!! You know, it's a strategy to make you feel cheap for buying from only one of them...You also must know that those kids are being "pimped" by an adult who gathers most of the money they earn and who put them in the streets, entering them into the vicious circle of not going to school to earn some bucks...The best way to draw them out is to stop buying. I'm not blaming you, I know how it is, I'm just thinking out loud.
Anyway, your shot is really beautiful and it shows how beautiful and how smily the cambodian people are. I also love the tones.
That was about 4 months after I went there and I think I can recognize the second from the left. She was the most "pushy' of them all.

This is the true life in the third world, little kids working from so early age. Economy in the Asian countries are growing up over 9% a year, but the poverty is still a curse in the low social classes.
As a good picture, it is a good social critique, where black and white format is a good choice.
