Photographer’s Note
Despite the beautiful ruins which remain intact, I was also intrigued by the huge quantity of jumbled ruins which lay everywhere in the huge 100 sq km. complex.
The ravages of time are also a photographic story which need to be told.
I traveled Angkor during the rainy season. At first not my first choice, but later it proved good timing. The overcast rainy weather added a mystique to the place that was unmatched by other seasons. "Adventure" is getting trapped inside one of these ruins by a late-afternoon rain storm, complete with an assortment of snakes, Khmer artists, and Japanese tourists.
