La vie au bord du Mékong est-elle un long fleuve tranquille au sud de Phnom Penh ?

Ces gens vivent dans des conditions difficiles qui dépendent complètement des caprices du Mékong, et cette humidité permanente n'est sûrement pas très saine ... Je connais des cambodgiens qui, vivant ici, se sont brutalement retrouvé sans logement, celui-ci ayant été emporté par les eaux !

These people live in difficult conditions which depend completely on whims of the Mekong, and this permanent humidity is certainly not very healthy ... I know Cambodians which, living here, brutally lost their home, this one having been taken by waters !

c'est une photo impressionnante qui montre les conditions difficiles de ces gens. La digue disparait sous l'eau après à peine deux planches et nous laisse imaginer l'état des habitations.

Excellent daily life capture from along the Mekong, Marc. Well composed and very natural colours despite the rather overcast lighting conditions. That footbridge looks like it needs a bit of practice to negotiate! Cheers . . . David

A good documentary photograph of daily life in Phnom Penh. You may want to wade out into the water in a similar situation to get a bit closer.
