This is a detail from an old French mansion in downtown Phom Penh.
These old colonial houses are so beautiful, but many show their age and lots of them have been badly neglected.
Many of them take up very expensive land in central PP and I got the feeling lots of the owners must be waiting for these houses to crumble, so they can sell the ground to 'real estate development'...aargh!
Meanwhile the ground around this particular house is being used as a (paid) parking lot for bicycles and motorbikes.

Hello Benny ,
La vignette me faisait croire à un détail d'avant de voiture !
Mais non , c'est celui d'une ancienne magnifique demeure coloniale .
Bien vu , cadré et exposé .

I like this close cropped shot of the old house. You have got the shape perfectly positioned in the frame with fine details of the mouldings, the decorations and the shabby textures.
Isn't it a pity that not everyone values their history!
Have a great w/e,

love this! A perfect crop and beautifully detailed study of this neglected but still amazing arch. Full of charm and a real sense of historical artistry about it. Blissful imagery!
Have a great weekend - B.
