Kids in Phnom Penh in "the village" near the Russian Embassy. My moto driver lives here, he took me there to show me his family and the place where they live... and I just walked around with a bunch of kids around me - a lot of fun them and for me.
This little kid in the blue bowl was about to take bath. He was a bit surprised seeing a strange white guy just next to him, my bunch of kids around him and a big camera above his head.

Interesting point of view. Seems like a good idea getting a moto driver. Sounds a bit like a scene from 'The Year of Living Dangerously' also, partly, about a photographer.

Like almost all your photos, this one is filled with "life". Good angle to get an original composition.
IMO, I would slightly crop the top of the photo to get rid of the feet we see at the top.

A different view all right!, it adds to the joyful feeling of this picture. I think cropping the top legs could help focus the viewer. Nice catch Maciek!

Good shot Maciek. I think this is a pretty good capture of everyday life in the poorer parts of Asia. Good expressions and pleasing colors. How did you take this photo? were you standing on top of something? My nits would be that I wish you didn't crop quite so tight on the bottom and I don't think the legs of the adult really add much to the shot, but overall, this is very nice.

What a great bunch of kids you've captured here. I bet you had a really good time! Well done!

An original perspective. The lighting is superb and balanced. It's a pity the little girl at the bottom is cut off while the top shows some "lost" feet. If possible I would have a looser crop at the bottom, while a having a tighter crop at the top. Still a very good photo!

the gleeful looks on the rest of the kids are so infectious, I got a big grin on my face :D

Lovely shot with an unusual angle here, Maciek!
a play time for children, very nice daily life shot. The red & blue enamelled bowl also look great. Great shot!

Świetne zdjęcie. Ten dzieciak w misce jest rozbrajający..
Podoba mi się perspektywa z góry.

A great angle, Maciek. This shot could work from any angle, thanks to the very interesting scene, but it could never have been so great as this angle. Great shot.

Well, I actually have to admit that I find this one out-standing Maciej. Your approach here is unusual compared to your other fantastic portraits. This extraordinary angle resulted in a very orignal and artistic capture. Congrats!
nygus (8178) 2004-05-16 11:25
shot the way I like it. amazing quality, but hard to believe that done with such short lens/ I start to think about buying the camera. You re not coming to visit Poland any time soon. How about bringing some duty free cameras for fellow countrymen?

obviously the pov is fantastic here. I take it you held the camera above your head. It's the kids faces, they really look very happy here.
Will be back
PS, would it work with a slight crop down to the top of the blue tub as the red tub seems to hold your eye sometimes?
