Swietna fotka. Rewelacyjne kolory i kompozycja.

I like this choice, blurr on one side and sharpness on the other; nice painting on the wall, this blue is really the good color for the rest.

Awesome photo Maciej! The composition is fantastic. Just playfully, I looked at the frame with the head of the foreground fellow cropped out...though it was weird the crop seemed to enhance the visual appeal of the photo even more.

So, back to your asian shots (I hope you return soon with your pub because i find your series there fantastic). Good one, like the small islands of orange on a (dirty) white background.

What a composition, Maciej, what a wonderful balance!!! Superbly graphic, with its classic composition and economy of colours -- but what brilliance! I love the way you cropped the foreground figure's head, too, it gives even more punch to the shot. Great work, bravo!

beautiful composition. The colors and saturation are stong and very nice. Great contrast too. Beautiful photo. JP

Nice colour/spatial relationship here-- adds a lot of energy to what is otherwise a placid and relaxed scene.

Great composition and colours. I'd have cropped a tad more at the top to get rid of the bit of roof behind the walkers head. Though I see a problem with cropping more of his head, maybe using the evil clone tool could fix that minor blemish.

Nic dodac, nic ujac.
Po prostu swietna fotka.
Zepi (22848) 2005-10-13 17:34
Excellente composition !
Ce que j’adore ici en dehors de cette capture de mouvement, de ce dynamisme, c’est le rendu du mur blanc !
C’est fou le nombres de détails que tu as pu rendre !
LE contraste orange/gris est saisissant !
Merci pour le partage

Hi Maciej D
Wow. Whatthe yellow religion among three monks. Interesting composition. Thanks

This is about contrast : colors, motion, standing/sitting, written/empty, something like a collage about everything possible in photo. but what really strike my eyes is that awesome orange color on the white wall, then the dark blue writings... I think that's what the orange color is all about.
My favorite amongst all monk shots.

Waouhhhh very nice composition.
This framing is incredible and really good.....the result is perfect.
Excellent orange touch and the mouvment with this man without head is fabulous.
Very good exposure and I like this wall,
A splendid shot
In my favorites.

Great colour and composition, lovely shot.

great crop and composition, very simple, very clean. the blue and orange are great together. I like the huge empty space as well, nice use of it.

Podoba mi sie w tym zdjeciu prostota i minimalizm kolorystyczny i kompozycyjny. Niezwykle zdjecie Macku.

Excellent use of vibrant orange in the foreground Maciej. The monk's cut-off head seems a bit weird here. I would crop it a bit to get rid of the roof as well or simply I would get rid of the whole head making it even stranger.. ewa

A one in a m,illion monk shots, and we almost specialize in "monks" on TE! Luko said it all, I won't rehash what he says, but we're dealing with perfection here...in the moment.
lewiz (1297) 2005-10-14 11:29
Great composition. The graffiti helps, but possibly not as much as the smiles on the faces of the two monks squatting down.
The motion blur is also spot on. Thanks for sharing.

I guess I must have seen this one on pbase... I couldn't forget it. It's so wonderful. I feel as though everything is perfectly positioned here.

Hi Maciek. I think this one is really good. There is no doubt that monks make great subjects. The orange of the robes looks great and I really like the amount of motion blur on the moving monk. The only thing for me is that this looks a little underexposed, although with a more "proper" exposure, you might have lost the richness of orange in the robes. Good shot, I have been wondering why you haven't posted too many from your last trip in Cambodia.
rowanb (864) 2005-10-17 8:05
nice shot, simple but grahpic composition, good use of the motion blur, all the colours are nice, good work

A master piece Maciej, I really love the colors simplicity here and the little (great) touch of fantasy on the wall.

My tabbed browser opens every day with this picture since you uploaded it, and finally I find some time.
I like the way thetwo monks are situated in the frame, one looking at you (I think), and the other looking in a different direction, but both laughing and smiling. The big orange blurred monk dominates the picture and I love that, certainly in combination with the characters on the wall. Magic. I always like those characters very much, the fact that I can't even read what it says, adds to the magic. I mean I can decipher cyrillic scripture, not understand, but I can't even decipher this.

Here is an exemple of what I like best in photography. Rverything works so well here, starting from the headless monk, the scripture on the wall and the two ther monks.
It's so good that it looks as if ( Of course not )it was prepared.
I am glad to hear from you again. For me you are among the very best in TE.

I just come back from Thailand and I saw everywhere monk in orange!
Very intresting contrast between the monks down and the monk in mouvment!
Burberry1 (6041) 2008-10-01 9:04
A typical view for Cambodia and Thailand:)
Great obsevation and moment.
Colorful, vivid and absorbing scene.
Very good cadrage.
