Photographer’s Note

I took this picture from the 'Japanese' bridge ( one of only two bridges crossing the river...)across the Tonle Sap river. Due to great variations in water levels, people living along its banks have to build stilt houses if they want to be a little protected from tearly monsoon floods...

Les gens vivant sur les berges doivent construire sur pilotis si ils veulent être un tant soit peu isolés des inondations annuelles de la mousson...
