As mentioned in another shot from here, this is a young girl who asked us (through a moto driver) to take a ride on her father's boat. Jumped up and down that she found passengers and people from the village patted her on the back as she led us to the boat. A very interesting sunset ride it was, visiting the floating Cham village. The light was just fading over the riverfront of Kampong Chhnang itself as we returned and she waited for the pier to be within reach.

Hi Clifton. I like your image, and the way it is composed. Without your note it would be difficult to know if you were living or returning to the pier, and that uncertainty would have let our imgination wander and "build" multiple sceneries. I'm less enthusiast with your post processing, where it seems you tried to recover detail on the shadows but ended up, by the same occasion, by producing rather unnatural colours.

Great sky, and the POV is just perfect.

A very stong image. The light, the silhouette of the trees, the lady in the foreground..good daily life capture. Well done

You patience is very nice repay, the silhouette of the young lady care for your picture excellent, also the green/blue colours generally are a good contrast against the lovely sky.

Hello CLiff (currently in New Jersey on business). Another first class capture from Cambodia - do you feel that country was a kind of epiphany for you, photographically? That is certainly my impression.

This is a very alluring image. I really like your POV here, with the gleam of the boat in the foreground and the girl perched naturally with the rope in hand, ready to attend to the mooring ashore. It actually reminds me a bit of scenes out of African Queen. Great capture.

I'm visiting your gallery, and sure enough you have lot's of great shots! I don't know what you did to the curves here, but the result is impressive! Shooting against the sun and getting this much details... The compo is nice and the tones are quite unusal but not unpleasant.
