first time I see such composition and crop, and I love it! if I were nit-picking, I'd say a small step tp the left would give a bit space between the woman and the tree and futher emphasise the strong diagonal line, but you might have intended the composition precisely this way to avoid impression that the tree is indispensible part of that couple :) beautiful colours, I like how the sombre tones fit the hard work theme in this shot. very, very well seen and presented.

Good shot! Good perspective, I like the framing with the half guy in the foreground! Very unusual composition.. The green gradation - scattered at the foreground and getting dense from the woman backwards - is well caught. Well done, congrats'

Hi Yan. This is one is good. A lot of impact in the shot which I always like, and although we cant see the mans face..the arm and hand seems to say everything about the hard work. Its a perfect image which I can't fault in any way.

This is really a still from a movie. No doubt about it. There is tension between both characters, even if we only have a part of the male actor. Composition is absolutely brilliant. No exaggerations here, it's really good. I like your colors too. The muddy water bathing the fresh green rice is so good. One of my favorites from your Asian trip!

bonjour Yan, alors celle ci j adhere completement, j aime beaucoup la composition avec le bras de l homme et derriere la femme tout miniscule.. tu sais cette photo, meme celle d avant, me font penser aux statues ou les femmes sont representees beaucoup plus petites que l homme, j en ai une ici d ailleurs..bon je delire, ta photo est chouette

Tres coole cette photo. La 1/2 silouhette en premier plan, j'achete direct ;-) EN plus ca guide bien le regard vers la femme en arriere-plan (qui ressemble un peu a un epouventail).

Hi Yan,

Nicely different portrait I have to say! Very open spaced riecefields over there! I've been living in Indonesia for a year but strangely enough I've never seen an open ricefield like this. I think they use a different type of rice in Indonesia that can do with less water and closer together. Well, I'm not a rice expert at all ;-). Nice shot though!!

Salut. J'aime vraiment beaucoup cette image, peut-être à cause des couleurs et ce contraste entre le vert des plants de riz avec les tonalités terreuses de l'eau. La composition me plaît mais j'aurais sûrement préféré que tu te décales un peu sur la gauche faisant en sorte que la femme se détache de l'arbre en arrière plan.

L'escalade c'est pour bientôt et j'y vais sûrement faire un tour photo. Peut-être peut-on se croiser à ce moment si tu es par là.

Salut Yan,

Je l'avoue, je n'aurais jamais pensé à réaliser une telle composition, mais quel coup d'éclat! C'est vraiment réussi Yan!

C'est certain que ton sujet en premier plan me fait totalement halluciner, parce que c'est tellement audacieux et créatif. Ça donne un côté "pochette de disque", ou plutôt, c'est le genre de compo qu'on aurait pu utiliser pour photographier le dernier groupe de rock en vogue... J'adore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Et comme si ce n'était pas assez, les deux sujets adoptent la même posture, faisant écho l'un à l'autre. La lumière est douce et les couleurs naturelles. Ces plans de riz sont également très esthétiques, pour leur couleur et leur aménagement..

Si je comprends bien, tu avais toi aussi les deux pieds dans l'eau... C'est ce qu'on appelle un photographe tous terrains! J'apprécie également ton point de vue abaissé, par rapport à ton premier sujet.

J'aimerais t'offrir autant de points qu'il ya de plans de riz dans ta photo... :-P)

Le cadrage est super bien fait, cela crée une vraie profondeur et l'homme reste mystérieux... J'aime aussi toute cette verticalité.
