[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Everywhere in Cambodia you'll find someone cleaning the ways, the stairs or the temples. The way to go to Budha has to be clean as your soul maybe.

I decide to use this DOF to show all the stairs in background that you need to climb to go to the temple and I decide that they can't be too much unfocus, just a bit to enhance the man in foreground.

This old man was living with the help of charity.

Nice photo you show here, i like the compo with the cleaning old man in the foreground surrounded by the climbing stairs.
Good colors, i think i would prefer a little more dof but i like it anyway like this. Congratulations, Regards,

Nice pov looking up and a terrific composition. The man's isolated beautifully doing his chores thanks to the shallow depth of field. The bokeh of this lens is not the greatest but it looks fine here. Regards,

J'aime bien la douceur et l'ambiance ombragée de cette image. La position du vieil homme nous enmène dans les escaliers et nous donne l'envie de les gravir.

Bonsoir Jean-Claude,
très belle photo d'un endroit où j'ai eu la chance d'aller avec ma belle-famille, c'est un très bel endroit dépourvu de touristes, il faut dire que la route qui mène à ces temples n'est pas très plate.
La profondeur de champ très courte met bien en valeur ce vieil homme devant cet "interminable" escalier.
On était redescendu par l'autre côté mais le chemin était beaucoup moins aménagé.

Joli point de vue. On dirait que cet homme vient de balayer pour nous permettre de mieux profiter du spectacle.
J'aime beaucoup le jeu de lumière le long des rampes et de l'escalier, incitation à aller plus haut.

Oui, cette grande ouverture fonctionne super bien, je crois que je n'y aurais pas pensé... techniquement c'est donc très bien réalisé. Par ailleurs j'aime beaucoup l'atmosphère si paisible qui se dégage de cette photo.

Bonsoir Jean-Claude,
Il y a un côté "Sisiphe" dans cette tâche un tantinet absurde. Balayer un escalier de pierres qui se trouve en plein air ? Qui plus est avec un balai qui doit plus favoriser le lumbago qu'exterminer la poussière.
Le point de vue est excellent, mais je ne peux m'empêcher de penser qu'un N&B bien contrasté aurait pu aussi être un bon choix. L'importance de la couleur ici ne me semble pas en effet primordiale.
