Photographer's Note
This is in the dry season, in the Sangker River in the middle of Battambang, Cambodia's second largest city. The edge of the net is weighted so it is hard work to make each throw in 35 Celcius heat; all for a very small catch. I really like the exertion evident in his expression and hands.

Great timing!

Welcome back Ian! Long time no see.
A superb daily life shot of this fisherman from Cambodia. Excellent sharpness, color, & saturation. I like the horizontally layered composition, the reflections in the stream & the superb freezing of action at the decisive moment. Well done!

you can see how beatiful and difficult this is ...... he is doing his best and the net is there flying, I like it because there is poetry in this flying object and in his attention on it in his expression and as you said his hands
