Photographer’s Note
As most travellers know, this is Ta Prohm, near Angkor Wat, Cambodia.
The day I travelled there it was brutally hot. The sun was run above and slightly behind the tree when this shot was taken, which is why the top left corner is a little bright.
The tree looked like it was melting all over the ruins and was pooling and congealing at the bottom. I used the shade for respite before heading back out in the blazing heat.
I used a photoshop unsharpening mask but it still doesn't look great.

hi craig,
the shot is sharp in most places ... just a few that it's a little blurry. not a big issue and i don't think it detracts from the subject.
your note is funny, that it's like fondue. that's an unusual simile. great point of view though, looking at these ruins and trees from so close. good shot!

Hi Craig,
When i was young i didn't like this tree, it's like a snake. And now i don't like it anymore.

Hi Craig,
I have seen something like this in the tomb raider movie...i thought it was hollywood effects...this is just amazing...this tells you how old these structures are and for how long they have been hidden from view of the public...thanks for sharing.

Nice compostion Craig. This shot really does create an image of age and scale of the place. Very nice.

I did a few more corrections in photoshop to bring the best out of it for you if you want to sse in the workshop...but I can't figure out how to open a workshop for this pic--have you disallowed it?
