Climbing the stairway to?
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| The stairway inside a tower on the bank of the Mekong River opposite Kampong Cham. There were no signs to indicate the name of the tower or why it was there, but a quick online search informed me it was built during the French colonial era to monitor traffic on the river. It fell into disrepair and has, only recently, been restored. The view from the top is said to be impressive, but the steep staircase put me off climbing to see for myself. |

Interesting picture, a touching epitaph to the end of a colonial era.
