In the temple grounds of Sen Monoram. The gardener takes a well deserved rest. Her daughter had been watching me for a while and although her mother was completely unaware of my presence, the daughter wanted to be captured.
I know that the mother is overexposed, but in a way reflects the moment, she was far away with her thoughts and the daughter very bold and present.

Very nice job, Elaine, and your note enhances the image in subtle ways (one being there's no point rabitting on about the overexposed mon...it's taken care of :)) there is a perfection about this double moment and you have communicated it very well indeed. Cheers, Francis

I just love the smile on the girls face, such a contrast with the expression on the face of her mom. Great shot!

nice shot of the two
the little one is totally devoted to your lens
you captured a great moment and opposite feelings,
well done, I would say the mother is overexposed, but she is a bit washed out, strange no?
but I like it!

i agree with you about the technical flaws but in a way it all works well in spite of them...i like the way the little girl comes out sharper ...cheers

It's a great photo with wonderful colors and her little face just makes this special. She has a face that strikes me as both beautiful and cute and that same time. Very nicely done.

A lovely, gentle portrait.Nice characterisation too. I might have liked a little more light into the top left, especially to define the shape of the little girl's head. Regards Kevin

What a smile...! I've been feeling a little blue today and I just ran across your photo while surfing TE, it made me smile - thank you for that. :)
The older you get the more you learn to appreciate the whimsy of a child, we've got alot to learn from them I think....
