Khmer Loeu family, in a village close by Voen Sai.
Voen Sai, sits on the south side of the Tonle San River. On the opposite side of this river are several smaller ethnic villages. Small boats ferry passengers back and forth. The view along the way to Voen Sai is a combination of ethnic villages, fields, and thick forest.

O yes, very typical - a nice little family but very poor.
The colours are so warm - it's so peaceful - and this would be good after the bad times, cambodia had.
Thanks for showing

A classical TE shot but very well done. I like the intimacy in it, it's simplicity also. The little boy looking at you directly as his mom tries too hide herself by not looking makes a great contrast. COngradulations.

Hi Elaine - nice to see your news shots on TE - this one is great (compo - colors ...) - I like the net on the left - this is a shot of a poor but happy family - great

This is a very nice picture. You have made lovely portraits of the subjests and the contex is rich and interesting. The composition places the family very nicely in the frame.

A sweet family scene, good coloring and sharpness nicely composed Elaine with the wood at the side, it shows how sensitive you are for this warm human values of a mother with her children.
A fine warm human capture.

Hi Elaine, very nice picture of this family, I like it that they are all looking to something else, and just the boy looking at you, but on the other hand, it's a bit a shame that the girl is looking away.
I like your composition this way very much with the dark entrance of the door, but made more pleasant by the family, and the wood of the house with the net on the other side.

Probably your best picture. At least from Cambodia. It is great. Great expressions, great compo, of course, perfectly on focus. Colours seem to be selected: all balck & browns, with the orange breaking but not distracting.
