After a long day working under a blazing sun, the villagers take their water buffaloes for a bath in the muddy waters of a pond in the Prey Veng province.

Une scène tout à fait exotique et bien présentée depuis un pdv légèrement en hauteur. Les 2 villageois semblent apprécier ce moment de détente tandis que les buffles se prélassent dans l'eau ;D

Hi Laurent,
Good picture of life in a village. The light is very good, like late afternoon,the soil appears reddish more due to the light.The expressions on their face is one of indifference,more intent on their buffalos.May be they've seen people snapping their pics before.TFS

Good to see the locals taking an interest in the wellbeing of the water buffalo. Good sharpness & nice repetition. Excellent pov & the people add scale & context. I like the reflected blue skylight in the water contrasting against the reddish ochre earth. Tfs! Merci!

From the thumb nail it makes me think of the hipos that I saw in Africa :) Beautiful shot of the buffalo, no wonder we call them water bufallo. Excellent quality as always, great color, good contrast and good sharpness and clarity and a wonderful and nostalgic daily life image.

This type of timeless scene makes a trip to remote place here very special. Taken in the late afternoon showing the herders bathing thier water buffaloes, once again you have captured aspects of the way of life in this rural community so well and from a culture that is so interesting to visit vicariously through your image, the sort of useful informative fascinating image. This gives us a real feel of the location and the pace of life. Good effort, Congrats

Sur la vignette je me suis demandée ce que cela pouvait être, et bien c'est adorable de voir ces buffles profiter d'un moment de relaxation après un dur travail et tanpis pour l'eau boueuse :-) apparemment ils ne doivent pas trop tiré sinon oups les hommes si prés de l'eau prendront un bain aussi :-)

Vraiment Laurent tu as eu le privilege de rencontrer les choses formidables. Je ne suis pas envieux, en plus je te suis reconnaissant de tes partages genereux. Je me demande seulement, a ta place, qu'aurais-je fait. Et tu fais les cliches a la facon qui m'est bien proche.

Une vue qui me paraît presque normale après mon séjour en Inde ! Bon, je n'ai pas vu cela exactement, mais j'aurais pu je suppose... C'était une capture à ne pas rater, et tu l'as fait avec une bonne gestion de la lumière et des couleurs.
J'aime bien le noir profond du cuir des vaches !
