A visit to the Pnong villages around Sen Monorom... One told us that once they will get rid of the last traditional house, the tourists won't come to visit anymore, he might be right...

NB: This is not a picture of a traditional house

Hi Yan,
This picture is a mixture between a family portrait and a documnetary shot.

I like it. Well done.

Greetings from Spain.

Vicente.

Francis

Hi Yan,

That little note does make me wonder... Do they want to get rid of the tourists and for that reason they would get rid of the traditional houses? Or they just don't like traditional houses anymore and feel it holds them back from the 'development' others are enjoying? Or they just don't like their traditional houses anymore? And why (not)?

Gosh, your shot and note got me riddled a bit. Nice black and white, but what are you telling us?

Greetings, Dennis

Salut Yan,
Ah il est trop craquant ce petit bébé accroché sur le ventre de son papa ;)))
Très bon choix du noir & blanc, le cadrage est pafait aussi.
Bonne soirée
Aline

Another example of eradicating tradition... very sad indeed...
and another incredible testament to the beauty of people still following it.
Wonderful work again, Yan... reminds me a bit of Flydragon's work in Thailand. The effective contrasts, superb bw...
take care

A great portrait again in two parts, the first with the main subject of the man, and in the background life going on as normal.

Loads going on this one. It no doubt shouldn't be, but it's surprising to me to see the guy nursing the baby.

I guess when you strip away all that is foreign, and his work-worries notwithstanding, it's simply an intimate portrait of a family relaxing together. Lovely photo.
