Another shot from our elephant trek of two days through the forest, which started from a hill tribe village close to the town of Sen Monorom. The mahout (elephant driver) nudges the elephant behind the ears with his legs and feet to keep it going.

Hi Wanda.
A great detail of the elephant like a transport. I like how we aprreciate in the picture the way that the man drive it. Texture on the skin of the annimal is wonderfull and the picture shows a very interesting acction, because as you know, here in Europe, we use to see those annimals in the zoo, not like a transport. Congratulations and regards friend.
Angel.

This isn't the usual shot of elephant and rider, and all the better for it.
I like the tight framing, and how you went in close on the animal's ear and the mahout's leg, and it's interesting to see how he uses his foot to direct the elephant (at least that's how I assume it's done).
The movement blur in the elephant's ear is a good touch.

Cheers,
Ben

Good morning miss Van den Hogen,

OK Wanda! Cheers! Cheers to this fabulous photo, a very unusual and surprising one. I like your composition very much!!! This is so cool!

It presents the ergonomic features of the pachyderm, perfectly fit for a human driver, with power steering, manual drive and leather seats. This model comes only in one colour...

This is a clever framing Wanda, a brilliant way of showing the minimum, to understand the whole picture. It immediatly catch the attention.

Have a great week-end!

André

I was drawn to this photo of yours - I always like when the photographer gets your focus on something in a way that doesnt seem apparent for most people. I would have probably done a wider shot to including the mans head, but this is so much better as it makes the shot about controlling the elephant with the feet.
Great work!
Dave.
