Back up to the hills of Mondulkiri and Sen Monorom. Mondulkiri is bordered by Ratanakiri to the north, Vietnam to the east and southeast, Kratie to the southwest and west, and shares a very small border with Stung Treng to the north. The province is predominantly minority hilltribes. (The family in the foreground)
The town of Sen Monoram is little more than a three sided roundabout, three red laterite roads, a disused airstrip and a small market. But the surrounding area is stunning. A few of the villages still work elephants, the beasts being the most apt to negoiate the small jungle paths.

But as much, even more I like typical rural views like you captured here with an excellent composition, the lady with the children in the corner towards the turn of the road with the cows and in the background this most depicting mist, you got a perfect eye for sober but strong compositions.

I have accesses to similar scene hundred of times but I didn't see in it the charm and peace you saw.
Maybe I didn't have the human eyes. Maybe I bear an animal heart. More than a shame, it's a crime.
Give me an excuse: I have blind eyes and callous heart.
Your simple photo has actually educated me. Thanks.

A very nice and pastoral scene that you judiciously cropped so that our eyes stay at the level of the herd and the people walking...Just in front of us!

I fuly concur with my great friend Gaby Gabou. This unpretentious and deceptively simple shot IS the essence of what an excelent TE pic should be, the kind that GROWS on you the more you see it, because of the world that it receals...
Perfectly captured moment...Timeless (excuse the pun)...Everlasting!
Later witht he goodies,

i do like this image Elaine, first of all because it's well composed. I like the fact that some people are on the right of the frame.
The entire image is full of things to look at,
the colors are soft, pleasan

what a composition sir, great work done. the herd of cows in the left and the lady with her children on right had brought a perfect balance in the pic.
