Cool angle shot. Covering from the bottom and capturing the entire mosque in the state of majestical.
The cool calm sky gives a good level of contrast againts the doom.

hi ewan ... although the dome, as an architecture, is very simplistic in nature, and lacks the usual detailed and beautiful carvings that are generally evident in parsian architecture, i guess the contrast of it against the blue sky has make it pop out ... the entire photo has three color combinations which is very soothing sometimes ... i understand the wide angle that you got with the 18mm, it would have been so good if the total mosque was there ... overall, it is a nice shot ...
