maulid an-nabi (prophet muhammad’s birthday) in bandar. the crowds were waiting for the sultan, who descends to the streets to walk among his subjects on this special day. sounds like something straight out of arabian nights. in reality - dressed in rather plain looking clothes - he sort of jogged a few blocks with some bodyguards by his side and the crowds "chasing" after him. it was quite amusing, (no disrespect).

in the bg, omar ali saifuddien mosque.

Hello Mark,

omar ali saifuddien mosque is beautiful and you compose it perfect, people at front makes the photo live.

TFS,

Sarhan.

Silver and gold - a really nicely seen and balanced shot Mark - lovely colour and light again - a really nice composition.

best wishes Kev

Hey Mark,

A really interesting composition here. It's great alignment to have the mosque slightly to the right but the real enjoyment for my liking is the crowd of onlookers in the foreground creating a sort of barrier. If I didn't know any better I would have thought it's the Brunei Gold Open awaiting the first T-off for the day! Nice colours and use of natural reflective light.

Thanks for sharing!
