Brunei is a small country located in the north part of Borneo. Thanks to abundance of oil, sultan of Brunei is one of the wealthiest men in the world.
The picture of Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque was taken in the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan. The Mosque was build in 1958 by the father of current sultan, and is the biggest and probably the most beautiful in the Far East. The Mosque's golden dome is at 52 meters and can be seen from almost everywhere in the city.
The "impressive example of Islamic architecture" is beatifully finished with Italian marbles, Chinese granite, carpets from Belgium and Saudi Arabia and hand-made stained glasses from England.

I just came to realized your visit to my site and also Brunei. Hope you enjoyed your stay here. I like the way you let the setting sun peep through the minarets and the pinkish tint is interesting. Nice composition too. Well done!! Thanks also for selecting my work as your favourite. Best regards.

Hi Henryk,
Brunei is a country we learned to know and appreciate thanks to appreciate, good to see other photographers made their way that far. It's a superb building this mosque and you took here a beautiful photo, I think it was good to partially hide the setting sun and preserve architectural details of this fine mosque, the soft colors work well and the domes are standing out enough. I like the photo !
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Bonjour Henryk
I like the exotic mood of this picture enhanced by the semi-silhouette effect.
Beautiful sun rays on tower at right.
High quality image.
