The Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque, Brunei.
An impressive sight during the day but even more so at night.
The colours are very appropriate seeing as all the country's wealth comes from oil, otherwise known as 'black gold'

Hi Tom,
If you had asked me, where is the remotest place from where I live, in Istanbul I would immediately say New Zealand. But with TE, it has become instant to exchange views even with people you know little from their photos.
So, many thanks for your comments but let me also add a few words about this one which has not taken points so far.
The mosque is really impressive but if I were you these are the points I would have tried differently.
First I would use a tripod, and if not allowed I would absolutely find a stand. If there were none than I would be forced to boost my ISO setting and in any case 1/2 second is too long with no tripod.
Another point is the hour, I would have tried to be there a bit earlier at the blue hour, Dark blue combines better than black with these artificial lights. But another reason is that the sky light level is better balanced with the artificial light. Last I would have tried a slightly wider wide angle, which would let me have some more spce near the coupola and the top of the minarets.
Nevertheless, despite these tips, it is a nice picture which shows the interesting setting.
Cheers and keep sending your work - Izzet Keribar
Hi Tom,
I live very far from there, but TE has a marvelous way to bring the people. Very beautiful picture.
