Photographer's Note

6.33 p.m. - I have posted a few shots on this park earlier but this time I would like to show how the lighted structure with the fountain in the middle looks like against an interesting and colourful sky. I am looking south so the setting sun is at three o’clock. I also tried to keep some of the green visible.
For those who have not seen my earlier shots, the Silver Jubilee Park was built to commemorate the 25th year of the Sultan’s ascension to the throne (1967 – 1992). This structure has 5 arched entrances to symbolize the 5 Pillars of Islam. It has 25 columns for the 25 years of the Sultan’s reign. In the centre is the main fountain to show the Sultan and the government’s effort in protecting and caring for the people of Brunei. Surrounding the structure are smaller fountains which shows the people’s support and loyalty to His Majesty’s government
