Photographer’s Note

It was 7.30 a.m. and I was walking around another part of the water village just across the main town when I noticed two people standing in their boats and casting their nets.
It makes me wonder if they can really catch any fish as water taxis carrying passengers were crossing their path and would have chased all the fishes away. The path of a passing water taxi can be seen just above the boat.
Anyway, they seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Probably they are not the serious fishermen and take this as a leisure activity and enjoyed throwing the net. As they were close to the other bank of the river so I have to zoom in, used my tripod and waited for the right moment.

Aloysius, you are our man in Brunei! What a cool shot of this guy making a perfect cast, it's excellent the way you got the whole net spread out like that in the air. Nice note too, obviously you are a veteran fisherman. Travel safely,

evrything about this pic looks very imperfectly perfect...the colours the composition all seem to be different but still in a certain way they all seem to unite...and very interesting information about the pic..especially about the boat which has just gone by....keep it up!!!

Good capture of the moment! You "freezed" the scene in the roight moment the man was throwing the net. Very good!

This one has excellent composition! The horizon is level and the net has been caught at just the right moment. Good exposures and note too. The tripod did the trick to help get this
