[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Punakha dzong, built 1637-38 and restored several times after fires and earthquakes. This is one of the greatest dzongs of Bhutan and served for many years as the seat of the government. It has a strategic location at the confluence of the Mo Chhu and Pho Chhu rivers (Mother river and Father river), forming the Punak Chhu.
This is a scan of a Kodachrome slide.

Hej Gert,
A calm and peaceful atmosphere in this picture. The horse is a nice addition to this feeling of something undisturbed.

Hi Gert I'm just discovering your gallery because I'd like to visit Bhutan. I saw many beautiful pictures of another member (vincz) and with your ones I'm convinced to go and discover this mysterious country.
For being a scan I think it's a very good result with a POV very well chosen.
Alberto

What a peaceful scenery, very well composed, and again, I read that it is a scan : well done ! (What a beautiful country !)
Regards,
Cath.

a beautiful scene. It looks a bit odd to me as I have seen temples (monasteries) like this only on top of mountains instead of at the foot.
