Et bien, on peut dire qu il y a de l ambiance sur ta photo. J aime bien la predominance du gris-blanc apporte par la neige et les nuages et qui est brise par les touches de couleurs du chorten et des drapeaux a priere. Je crois meme que j aurais aime en voir un peu plus et qu un grand angle aurait encore mieux place le chorten dans son environnement "hostile".

j'aime beaucoup toutes ces couleurs grises et blanches qui se fondent les une dans les autres à l'exeption des drapeaux à prières et du sommet du chorten qui apportent quelques touches de couleurs vives.l'atmosphère glaciale est bien rendue!
Je vois que tu n'hésites pas à faire des expéditions assez risquées,!La montagne,les routes gelées,quand on sait de quelle manière ils conduisent là-bas..!Mais je sais que ça vaut le coup,et que les souvenirs en seront décuplés.

I really envy you this one Vince. Not only the picture but the journey. This is so utterly Himalayan in feel, with the angry sky, the snow , the bare trees and the chorten perfectly placed from strong effect. Even the prayer flags left, are perfectly placed to give a splash of color, just where it is needed. regards kevin

I am glad that you decided to "reopen" the Buthan serie, because I haven't much opportunities to see photos of that fabled country, even less as great as this one.
Somehow the pov and the ethereal light and sky enhance the devotional mood of the image. The colours of the stupa and of the prayer flags make a nice contrast with all that white and grey.

Hi Vincent, this is a beautiful image, full of drama and atmosphere. The place looks forlorn and desolate with those heavy skies overhead and the stark tree branches reaching towards the sky. Your photo makes me want to visit Bhutan. There should be a Tintin book about the place. Good work!

The cloudy sky gives the additional element of drama to this picture. Like the off-centre placement of the corten, the snow in the ground & the flags which provide variety of colour in the dominance of grey & white. Excellent shot!

Une belle prise, je n'avais jamais vu ces drapeaux de prière sous la neige.
Couleurs et teintes marchent bien, avec ce joli ciel en contraste.
Le tout manque peut-être un peu de lumière, notamment sur l'avant-plan.

Its amazing to see such a piece of artwork in this remote, high area. The sky really dominates here and the chill of the day can be felt by the viewer. This sounds like quite a trek. The few trees to the left help balance the frame nicely. A fine capture, Vincent. Cheers.

Et bien je n'ai pas le souvenir d'avoir déjà vu des stupas sous la neige et je me suis pas mal demandé à quoi cela pouvait ressembler.
Merci donc pour cette "réponse". Je trouve ça top !
La lumière est bien lourde, le temps le semble également, les paquets de neige font ressortir le rouge et l'or.

Il fait pas très beau pour un mois d'avril!! Bon cadrage décentré du Chorten, avec une bonne netteté, évidemment la lumière et le soleil n'etant pas au rendez vous, tu ne pouvais pas avoir des couleurs éclatantes ;D mais l'atmosphère est bien retransmise!

C'est une toute première pour moi de voir un paysage invernale de ce pays si mistérieux qui m'attire tellement.
Très beau contraste des couleurs entre le chorten et le ciel couleur plomb. Je peux imaginer l'état de la route avec un temps pareil....

Le Bhoutan,une destination peu usuelle sur TE.
C'est toute une aventure que tu décris là,et que tu augmentes avec Jean-Yves, elle donne la frousse, et pourtant, en bon Québécois, j'en ai vu d'autres.
Peu de neige, donc, beaucoup de vent.
Un endroit qui doit être de toute beauté sous un autre ciel, mais ce ciel est dramatique et va bien avec votre aventure.
